Winter Stew
**Ingredients:For the Stew:** - 500g beef chuck, cubed - 2 large onions, roughly chopped - 2 carrots, roughly chopped - 1 tbsp tomato paste - 1 tbsp all-purpose flour - 1 bulb garlic, halved - 2 glasses red wine - 500ml beef stock - 1 bunch thyme - 2 bay leaves - Olive oil, for searing - Salt and pepper, to taste **For the Mash:** - 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced - 250ml double cream - 50g
